HaPPy NeW YeAr!!!

New Year’s Reality Check
Another year, another chance
To start our lives anew;
This time we’ll leap old barriers
To have a real breakthrough.
We’ll take one little step
And then we’ll take one more,
Our unlimited potential
We’ll totally explore.
We’ll show off all our talents
Everyone will be inspired;
(Hmm…while I’m writing this,
I’m getting very tired.)
We’ll give up all bad habits;
We’ll read and learn a lot,
All our goals will be accomplished,
Sigh...or maybe not.
Oh well, Happy New Year anyway!

I hope all of you have a great New Year's! Be safe! AJ and I will be staying in tonight eating goodies and watching Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy. :)

just a few things to say :)

This thing is one of the best things ever invented! AJ got it for me for Christmas. It comes with a UV cleaning system and sanitizes it! My teeth feel so unbelievably clean, just like leaving the dentist! If you don't have one...get one! :)

I am so mortified for the Dallas Cowboys! They played horribly yesterday. I don't even like to talk about it. AJ is watching Sports Center right now and that is all they are talking about. It's really depressing.

Yes, you heard correctly...Sports Center means we FINALLY have cable! yayyy! I haven't had cable for almost a year. It hasn't bothered me that much because most of the shows I watch are on regular tv, but its just nice to have more options. I am not a big tv watcher, but at night I enjoy shows to watch and wind down from the long day.

The other day Jaden took off Kaylie's shirt and tried to put it on himself.
He was running around smiling and laughing. He thinks he is so funny :)

I love my little Kaylie, doesn't she look so happy to be alive?

Her big wide open mouth smile is the best thing ever! And now she is wrinkling her nose all the time like her brother used to. I love it. Pretty soon she will have 2 little bottom teeth in her smile. They are almost in!

We took the kids shopping the other day and Jaden and I were walking around the store and all of a studden he starts whining and pointing like he wants something. I couldn't figure out what he wanted because it was a shelf full of toys. Well on the very bottom there was a box with 2 motorcycles or "bullet bikes" and that is what he wanted. When his daddy came over to us he saw the bikes and he was so proud of his little boy. AJ has a bullet bike and can't wait to teach Jaden how to ride. Jaden loves to play with them, that's all he has been playing with for the past few days.

A Christmas to Remember!

We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope all of you did, too! Christmas Eve we stayed home and enjoyed playing with the kids
and watching the snow fall. I also cooked a turkey dinner. It was yummy! I did it all by myself. Turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, and rolls. Go me!

Christmas morning the kids slept in until about 8 (yay!) and we ate breakfast, just cereal because I was worn out from cooking all day the day before. Then we looked in our stockings and opened presents! Kaylie got her first doll from Grandma.
They got lots of fun toys and clothes.

Later on that day we went to my dad's to join the rest of my family. We had fun playing games and watching the basketball game. AJ was happy that the Lakers won. AJ met my family for the first time and it was awesome. It was such a comfortable feeling and everyone had fun!

Here's Jaden and Kaylie with Aunt Megan and Aunt Angie...

Here are my sisters and I and my brother in law. I love my sisters so much. I love that we are all close and have fun together...

MeRRy ChRiStMaS!!!

I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas! This Christmas means more to me than any other Christmases. That is because it is the first Christmas with my own family. I am so happy to have AJ here and to have my 2 babies that I love so much. This will also be my first white Christmas in a few years! This Christmas is also bittersweet for me because this is my first Christmas ever away from my mom. I love you and miss you Mom!!!
Merry Christmas to everyone and thank you for your friendship and love!

Time for some serious blogging!

I told AJ today that I needed to do some serious blogging because it has been forever! So here I am, taking my own ME time. It has been so much fun having AJ here with us. We have gone to the mall a lot to shop and done a bunch of errands. He is loving all the snow we are getting and I am hating it! I've already fallen down twice! Oh I can't wait to get out of Utah. I have enjoyed being able to go to the store or run an errand really quick all by myself. I feel like a new woman! AJ even lets me sleep in sometimes. yay!

Yesterday we had a really great day. I took Kaylie for some mother-daughter time and we went to my friend Gentry's church. It's a Christian church and such a great place! They had an awesome Christmas service. A lot of great songs were sung and we got to rock out a little bit which was a nice change from the church I grew up in! The pastor was such a neat guy and gave a great message. Kaylie really enjoyed it, she danced with me a little and listened to the pretty music. They had a group of guys playing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen on guitars and it was amazing! Oh and let's not forget that I got to dress Kaylie up all pretty!

Yesterday Jaden and I made some Christmas sugar cookies. They were so good! Jaden helped me cut them out and frost them. He mostly had fun eating the dough.

Later on, I was having some cuddle time with AJ when I remembered that I left the salt on the kitchen table and here's what I saw when I went to get it...
salt everywhere! All over his face, feet and hands. He was making a funny face. I wonder how much of it he ate. ew!

Later that night I had to get a picture of Jaden and Daddy playing in front of the Christmas tree. I love my boys. :)

Unfortunately Saturday didn't go as well as Sunday. Why, you ask? Both of my teams lost. BYU played horribly, there is no excuse for how bad they played. And the Cowboys...well they just didn't have their groove on or something. Both games were pretty pathetic. Jaden and I went to my dad's to watch it with the rest of my family. My dad has two TVs next to each other so we had the BYU game on the main one and the Cowboys game on the next one. It was cool to watch them both at the same time. We had a fun time with my family, even though we were all bummed from the losses. My brother said something pretty funny about the Cougars. He said "Cougars gotta rest for their next quest." If you know the Cougars, you'd get it...their motto this year was "The Quest", that's all they advertised about and promoted all season...The Quest for the BCS. Well, maybe next year Cougars...get some rest for your next quest!
I think that is all I have to blog about for now! Merry Christmas everyone! :)

I'm random and I love it

First things first, I want an elliptical soooo bad. I am over being out of shape. I get bored doing workout DVDs at my house because that's the only option I have. I have a gym membership but don't have a babysitter or money for the gym daycare. It's very frustrating. Santa Clause, please bring me an elliptical.

I am selling my baby swing, changing table, bouncer, and single stroller. If you or anyone you know wants to buy it for a million dollars let me know. :)

AJ comes tomorrow! I'm so excited! I can't wait to squeeze him. I can't wait to cuddle in bed with him. I can't wait to have our own little family Christmas together.

Last week Nicole and I bought some uggs (boots) and I love them! They are soooo comfortable and so stylish! They are so warm and cozy and definitely needed since I live in freakin' cold Utah. I'm tempted to go buy one in every color.

Jaden calls Kaylie, "Kee-kee" it's pretty cute. Sometimes he'll say "Kay-kay" but most of the time it's "Kee-kee." Aw that reminds me of my favorite show The OC...Kirsten's nickname was Ki-Ki. I'm a dork, I know :)

I love the show The Hills and I think its so stupid that Heidi and Spencer got married. Spencer is a jerk, enough said.

The Cowboys are back baby! What a game last night. I have to admit that I was very scared to watch it at first, but after the first few minutes I was pumped up. Way to beat the G-men, boys! :) Oh and Choice!!! You are the man!

My hands are soooooo dry. I think I wash them a million times a day because I'm a mom and change lots of dirty diapers, and I have a weak bladder. :) And I wash dishes and bottles everyday. My hands are cracked and bleeding and hurting. I use Eucerin lotion but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I need to get out of dry, cold Utah...

I love to watch Jaden and Kaylie play together. Tonight they were wrestling and giggling like crazy. It's fun to watch Kaylie attack Jaden and hear Jaden whine for help. Kaylie is my little tough girl. Jaden will literally body slam her and she'll either laugh or roll over right on top of him or grab his hair. :) I love them!

Only 9 days until Christmas! I'm going to make a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, just us. :) I'm looking forward to it!

Merry Christmas! :)
