101 tasks in 1001 days!!!

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Click here for some ideas and make your own list! Come on people, it will be fun. :)

I LOVE SPINNING!!!

I am a new addict of spinning! Thanks to my friend Ashley I found a class at the local rec center. I only pay 15 bucks a month and my kids are $2 for daycare everyday. It's so much fun! The kids LOVE going to the daycare and playing with all the new toys and the kids. The ladies in charge there are so nice. Back to spinning though - it is such a great workout! If you haven't done spinning before, you gotta do it! You can burn up to 600 calories in one hour! That is a lot of calories! It's so fun because you have music blasting, the lights are off, the instructors are motivating and you are spinning off the pounds! I haven't lost any pounds yet, but I can already feel my clothes fitting looser. I have done it everyday for the past 2 weeks! I will keep on doing it. I'm so excited that I finally found something that I like and will keep me motivated to lose weight. If any of you want to drive out to Pleasant Grove and come with me, feel free! Yay for spinning!!!!

Happy Birthday to Megan! (yesterday)

Yesterday was my sister Megan's 29th birthday. Happy Birthday Megs! She and I have always been very close even though we are 4 years apart. We have always been great friends and have a lot of things in common. We love the same music, tv shows, movies, and think a lot alike. She has always been a great big sister and has always been there for me when I need her. When we were little, I was 4 and she was 8, we shared a room together and I remember I would get scared in my own bed sometimes so she would let me sleep in her little twin bed with her. She used to buy me magazines (all those teeny bopper magazines with pictures of *NSync in them) with her own allowance. She would always let me hang out with her and her best friend Julie and make me feel included. A few years ago her and I lived together with her friend KrisAn and we had so much fun. We would stay up late watching The OC and The Bachelor together and have girl talk. I used to take her to work every morning in the winter even though I didn't work until later and could sleep in. That just shows how much I love her because I am NOT a morning person. I may have been grumpy sometimes about doing it, but I was happy to help her. Those are just a few of the good memories I have with my sister. I hope you had an awesome day yesterday Megs! I love you LOTS! Thank you for always being there for me.

Thankful Thursday (friday)

I am thankful for Ashley introducing me to the rec center here in Pleasant Grove. This week I took the spinning (cycling) class two days in a row. It was so fun! The kids go to the child care located in the rec center and they love it. Every morning Jaden wakes up and asks if we are going to play with the little choo-choo train (they have a choo-choo train in the child care.) It's a great motivator for me to get up and get going since he won't give up asking me until we get there. :)

I am thankful that my kids go to bed at 7:30 and they go to bed so well! Jaden has not given me any problems whatsoever in his new big boy bed. I am so grateful!

I am thankful for football season. It's so nice to just sit down on the couch and flip on a game, especially when the Cougars are playing or the Dallas Cowboys. This weekend will be good!

I am thankful for Nicole and what an amazing friend she is to me. We don't hang out everyday like we used to since we're both so busy and have 2 kids of our own to chase around. When we do get together, which is still a few times a week, it's always nice to chat and goof off. I love her so much.

I am thankful for my big, jetted bath tub. Ahhh it is heaven for sure. :)

I am thankful that for the first time ever someone I wanted won on Big Brother! Go Jordan! I loved Jordan and Jeff this season, they were so cute. I love that show.

I am thankful for all the good shows on tv that keep me entertained every night. :)

"Go Kobe, Go Kobe, Go Kobe"

Jaden's daddy has taught Jaden well and made daddy proud, that's for sure. AJ loves the Lakers and Kobe Bryant. He is determined to make Jaden a Lakers fan. He bought Jaden a Kobe Bryant jersey a few months ago. Everytime he talks to his daddy on the phone he will say "Go Kobe, Go Kobe, Go Kobe." The other night we were on webcam talking to daddy and Jaden wanted to put on his Kobe jersey. Well later that night when it was time for bed I went to put his pajamas on and he flipped out when I tried to take the jersey off. I asked him if he wanted to sleep in it and he said yes. I just had to take a picture for his daddy to see.

My little boy is growing up! On Saturday morning I was bored and decided that I was going to put the kids in their own rooms and put Jaden in a twin bed. I wasn't sure how it would go, but I was excited to try it out. That night I put Kaylie to bed first because she was tired and I come out of her room and Jaden was laying in his new bed ready to go to sleep. I asked him if he wanted to go night-night and he said yes. I gave him a big hug, tucked him in and told him it's night night time, that he needed to stay in his room and go to sleep. He said okay mommy. I shut the door and didn't hear from him the whole night, except for at about 1:30 Kaylie woke up so I went in and checked on Jaden and he woke up and I asked if he needed to go potty and he said yes so he went potty and then went right back to bed. I was amazed how easy it was! The past few nights have been just as great. Sunday morning I woke up at 8:45. Jaden was in his room reading a book and Kaylie was in her room talking to herself. I couldn't believe it! So they sleep in longer now which means mommy gets to sleep in. They are such good kids. Jaden even took a nap in his bed today for 2 whole hours. I kept a crib up in his room just in case he got out of his bed during nap time. I'm not ready to give up naps yet. :)

What a great week!

This past week having my mom here has been so much fun! I have had a much needed break. Thanks mom! My kids LOVE their grandma, she plays with them and gives them lots of hugs and kisses. They have so much fun with her.

Sunday I did my sister Megan's hair for her. She wanted to have a new color in her hair so I had fun doing it for her.

AJ bought us a webcam so that he would be able to talk to and see the kids. Jaden and Kaylie have loved being able to "see" their daddy. The other night when they were talking to him on webcam they started kissing the screen. They even started cleaning him with a wipe. It was pretty dang cute, I of course took some pictures.

My mom goes home on Friday and it will be sad. I will miss her tons. It's so nice having her here to help me with the kids and to do things with her. We were able to go shopping the other day, just her and I while my brother watched the kids. It was fun to have time alone together. Thanks again, Mom! :)

Talkative Tuesday

Jaden and Kaylie talked to their daddy on webcam today. They had so much fun. They were "tickling" his face and trying to pick his nose. It was hilarious.

We recently had our pictures taken for Jaden's 2 year pictures and here are a few of my favorites and the link to view the rest. Abbey is our photographer and I love her, she always does an amazing job! Thanks Abbey. :)
