Daddy?

Kaylie ripped out this picture out of one of my magazines and said "Daddy!!!" She then started carrying it around with her and then she even kissed it. Jaden said to her, "Kiki you so silly, that not Daddy." and she said back to him, "No! My Daddy!" How cute is that? She sees any picture of a black man and she thinks it's Daddy. She loves her daddy. :) (She does know real pictures of her daddy and gets really excited.)

Popcorn Popping

Jaden: "Mommy I want some popcorn"
me: "I'm not sure if we have popcorn. I will check in the pantry"
Jaden: "Okay mommy look carefully please"

I haven't heard many 2 1/2 year olds say that. :) I love my smart boy.

Weekly catch-up

This past week has been a great one! My mom and step-dad have been staying with us which means a little break for me! Thursday night I went over to Andrea's house and her, Corinn and I watched a movie and chatted about life. It was sooo much fun. It was cool to just walk right down the stairs and right to my friend's house. It was really great getting to know both of them. They had me try the Wii fit and it told me I'm overweight haha! And it guessed that my age was 44. Well obviously I need to shape up according to Wii. :) I really want the Wii now and Wii fit.

Friday night the kids and I went to Nicole's new house to play. Our friend Jessica and her little boy Gene were there, too. It was good to see everyone and the kids had a lot of fun playing together. It's so cute how excited Jaden gets to see Brindley. Kaylie loves to see Londyn and play with her.

Saturday was a really fun day. My whole family (except for Ryan cuz he had to work) went to the Pizza Factory for lunch. It's one of our favorite places to eat as a family. It was a fun lunch, minus a few comments that left me pretty upset. I would blog about it, but I think that would be a "bad choice." ha! Anyway, we took some great pictures of course...






My mom bought me a new vacuum for my Christmas present. She brought it with her this trip since it's too much to ship a vacuum. I was soooo excited. It's funny how life changes when you become a mom. Simple things make my whole year! I haven't had a really good vacuum ever. I've always had old ones. This one is cool because it is bagless and you can see all the crap that gets in there. Wow my carpet was dirty!!! My old vacuum wasn't doing a good job at all. So now I vacuum all the time and enjoy the vacuum lines on the carpet and the fluffiness under my feet. :)


Saturday night Andrea and my sisters went to see Valentine's Day. What a cute movie!!! I really liked it and definitely recommend it. I always get so excited going to movies because I don't get to go very often. I don't get out much. hehe :)

I did my sister Megan's hair today. It was a dark brown/red color. I think it turned out so good. I kept joking the whole time, pretending I was her hairstylist and saying "I am an Aveda specialist." hehe! I'm so excited to go to Aveda and learn it all.



Here are just some pictures I've taken the past week...

I love the new shoes they have at Old Navy for kids. I've gotten a couple of pairs for each of them. Here they are trying them on when we got a new pair from Daddy.




Every time Kaylie eats she has to put her baby in the highchair next to her. She still loves her baby so much and takes her everywhere. My mom bought her a stroller for the baby and she loves it so much. She pushes it around with her all day.



The kids are sharing a room while Grandma and Grandpa are visiting. Each morning Jaden likes to wake up Kaylie, saying "Kiki wake up!!! Kiki wake up!!!" It's really cute to listen to. And one morning I went in to get them and Jaden had climbed into her crib and they were playing. Don't you love Kaylie's hair in this picture?! :)

We love having Grandma here!!!

A Good Grief

My friend Andrea posted this story on her blog because she was able to do this ladies' hair before she went on Studio 5 to share her story.

I read this tonight just a few minutes ago, after a struggle of putting Jaden to bed. He has started throwing more tantrums and getting really worked up when I put him to bed. I do everything I can to get him to calm down. He just wants to stay up, even though he is extremely tired. Well tonight I decided to just hold him and sing to him and wait until he calmed down. I'm glad I did and I'm glad I was patient with him.

I love my children sooo much. Thank you, Andrea for posting Molly's story on your blog. I hope this touches other hearts as well.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that I get to wake up to these two precious faces everyday.

I am thankful for AJ listening to me, even when I don't think he is listening and surprising me with presents in the mail.

I am thankful that my mom and Walt and their dog Remi are coming next week to visit us!

I am thankful to have Abbey as my amazing photographer. I can't wait to have Kaylie's 2 year old pictures done in April.

I am thankful for Thursdays because I absolutely love to watch Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. (Team Sam and Addison!!!)

I am thankful for my patience. Some of you may laugh because most of you know I am very impatient, BUT I do know that when it comes to my kids, most of the time I am very patient. I know it has a lot to do with why they are so happy all of the time.

I am thankful for making new friends. Andrea is a girl in my same building and she has such a cute family and she helps me out a lot! She wasted 2 hours of her time to help me with my video for my application. I am looking forward to getting to know her and her friends more.

I am thankful that Jaden is on his way to being completely potty trained. No more diapers for him, just Cars pull-ups for naps and nighttime.

I am thankful to be back in my workout mode. I've been to the gym everyday this week and it feels great!

I am thankful for nights like tonight where my kids were extremely giggly and happy and laughed at pretty much anything I said or did.

I am thankful that my kids love each other and give each other hugs and kisses daily.

Rock-a-bye Baby...

Kaylie loves loves loves her new baby that Uncle Ry-ry got for her. She carries it around everywhere we go, and I mean everywhere. She takes good care of her, too. She puts her in the baby high chair so they can eat together. When the binkie falls out of the baby's mouth, the baby will make a crying sound and she instantly jumps up (no matter what she is doing) and says "crying!!!" and hurries and gives her a love or puts the binkie back in her mouth. It is so adorable. Sometimes I purposely will make the baby cry just to see Kaylie's cute face and hear her little voice say "crying!!!"

Since my kids were born I have always sang this song to them...

They love that song and sometimes I even hear Kaylie try singing it to her baby. I just love my little Kiki and what a sweetie pie she is!

Babysitters needed :)

My school is starting March 17th (could change, depending on the remodeling if it's done or not).
I will be going to school Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm. Jaden and Kaylie will be in a daycare Wednesday and Thursday. The problem is, the daycare closes at 6:00 pm. I need someone to pick my kids up by then or before then and take care of them until about 7:15 when I get home from school.
Also, on Saturday the daycare is closed so I need someone to watch them on Saturday. Even if it's just one Saturday a month that would be a big help. I have a couple people that can do one Saturday a month I just need some others as well.
I will be able to pay you for babysitting and for picking them up in the evenings. If anyone is interested or if you know anyone that would be interested in doing this - making some extra cash, please let me know!

Talkative Tuesday

Today was such a fun day. We got to hang out with my bff Nicole and her little girls for the first time in almost 2 months. It was fun to catch up and let the kids play again. It's fun having Londyn part of the crazy group of kids now. She crawls around and likes to play with the kids. Kaylie absolutely LOVES Londyn. She kept giving her hugs and toys and wanted to play with her.

I asked Nicole to do Kaylie's hair because Nicole does it a lot faster and a lot better than I can do. Kaylie of course didn't like it, but didn't cry near as bad as she does when I do it. I took a picture of Nicole doing her hair, but it was really a sad picture so I wont post it. Here is an after picture though. I love her hair! Nicole does such a good job :)

Jaden is doing AWESOME with potty training. He only had one accident today. He loves all his different underwear and choosing which ones he wants to wear. He is really starting to get the hang of telling me if he needs to go without me asking. I still ask him every 20 minutes if he needs to go and I usually just make him go. I think he is taking after my bladder. :(

Tomorrow I have my interview/appointment with the new cosmetology school I am hopefully going to attend. It was originally Dallas Roberts that I chose, but they are being bought out by Aveda Institute. So I have to go meet with the Aveda people and do a full on interview and I will have to write an essay and all of that. It's apparently the "Harvard" of beauty schools. I am very excited about it. The schedule will be perfect for me, only Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm. It's not too much time away from my kids, but enough time to make me feel like an adult again and enjoy school!

What a difference working out makes! I miss working out sooo much. I thankfully haven't gained weight, just probably a few inches. It's been almost 2 months since I have worked out and it's really taking a toll on my body. I slacked off big time in California because the gym was too far and I didn't have the money to pay for a temporary membership and there wasn't any room in the house to do a work out. And since I've been home I am focused on getting Jaden potty trained and by the end of the day I'm tired and just want to sit on my butt. I know, I know, all excuses, but I am going to get back into it for sure. I am hoping Thursday or Friday I will be back at the PG rec center spinning my a$$ off! I need to feel happy and energetic and in shape again!

I'm excited for the Superbowl this Sunday! I'm rooting for the Saints, but I wont mind if the Colts win because I would love for Austin Collie (former BYU player) to win his first super bowl! Go Saints! Go Collie!

Must Go Monday

Potty training...why can't it be that when babies get to a certain age they can suddenly go to the bathroom on their own? 1 1/2 or 2 years old would be perfect. Only in my dreams, I know. Potty training is a lot of work. I think boys are harder, or maybe it's just my little boy. He has a weak bladder like me. Every 10-15 minutes I take him to the bathroom. He doesn't always go, but if I let one interval go by and wait, well then he has an accident in his underwear. I started him today and he did awesome! He only had a few accidents. The thing I'm most excited about is that he went poop in the toilet without me even asking him to! I'm so proud of him. I can't wait to get him completely potty trained! Hopefully day two tomorrow will be even better!
