What are 50 things you love?

My time has come!

I am finally going to start cosmetology school, March 31st. It's been quite the roller coaster ride getting to this point. I am soo grateful that it's finally worked out. The past few weeks I've been having a really hard time finding affordable, safe daycare. My school is such odd hours so most daycares aren't open until 7:30 so I was struggling with trying to find someone to pick up the kids from daycare and take care of them. I had a lot of friendly offers to help and even my friends in the condos here mentioned it in their ward. I just didn't feel good about it all because I knew I would be stressing each day at school, wondering if the kids were getting picked up and if they were safe. Well a few days ago I had pretty much given up and told myself that this was just not my time. The kids and I were driving home from the gym this morning when I pulled up next to a car with a sign that said Beehive Daycare with their phone #. I decided to call it and a sweet voice answered the phone and we chatted for a little bit and I asked if the kids and I could stop by right then since it was only 5 minutes from our house. We went there and met the lady who is an older lady, a grandma and has been doing in home daycare for 35 years. She was incredibly sweet and kind and I was able to watch her interact with my kids and with the other kids. I had such a good feeling when I was there. Some of the things she said I got goose bumps and just felt like this was the right place for my babies. Jaden and Kaylie really enjoyed it, we were there for about an hour. It was set up so neatly and organized, pictures, curriculum, charts, etc. I was very impressed with everything I saw. The lady said that her husband was driving the car that I saw and it just so happened that he had to pick up their daughter that day (which he usually doesn't). It feels like it was all just meant to be. After all the stress, heartache, anxiety, worry, and excitement of it all, I can finally confirm that I start at Aveda Institute March 31st! My kids will be well taken care of and happy and mama will be happy as well :)
Thank you to those of you who offered your help and advice! I am blessed to have amazing friends!

Sunday

Are you sitting down? The kids and I went to church today. Hopefully none of you fell off your chair or passed out. :) haha! My friend Andrea talked me into it mostly because of the 2 hour break away from my kids and getting to hang out with Andrea, Kristin, Corinn, and Ashley. The kids had so much fun in nursery. Jaden has been talking about it all day. He got to play with lots of toys and sing songs during music time. The look on his face as he was telling me what he did just made me so happy.

Last week when Jaden was sick there were a few nights that he would come in my room and want to sleep with me. Then he decided he wanted to sleep on the floor right in between my bed and the chair. He loved it and 3 or 4 times he slept in until 9:30!!! I didn't mind one bit.

We enjoyed the few days of sunshine and warmer weather by playing outside at the park a lot. They had so much fun getting outside and playing with friends. I enjoyed having some girl time with the other mom's in our neighborhood.
and this picture just melts my heart...

I am thankful for the area that we live in, even though I can't stand the disgusting smell, it's a great neighborhood! I have met some great people and made some new friends. It's so nice having the park right outside our house and having Andrea and her family that live just below me.

I am thankful for hard times. As much as I hate them and wish things could be easy all of the time, I have to look at it as a lesson learned. If it doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger. :)

I am thankful for having people in my life that I can always count on - my mom and Megan. I love them very much and am thankful for their friendship and support. Oh and of course Jaden and Kaylie :) They are my BFFs!!!

TV Tuesday

We all know I love my tv shows...so if you don't want to read about it, then don't read this blog. I don't get out much...so tv is my friend :)

The Bachelor
...where do I even begin??? Vienna? YUCK YUCK YUCK. I can't stand to even look at the girl aka cross-eyed man. I thought her time with his family was a disaster. I don't even see how his family could even like her. She is so immature, rude, and impolite. Tenley is so beautiful inside and out. I understand if there is no connection or spark there so it's okay that he didn't pick her...but I think he is lying to himself. I think he will see that he made a big mistake. He did the same thing to Tenley that Jillian did to him on The Bachelorette. She told him that he was too perfect and he said the same about Tenley. Well Jake, sometimes too perfect is okay!!! I'm sooo excited that Ali is the next bachelorette. She is a doll and I love her!

The Amazing Race...This is my first season watching the show and only because Jeff and Jordan from Big Brother are on it. I love them, they are so cute to watch and great entertainment. They crack me up. The episode on Sunday was hilarious. They were messing up on part of the race and Jeff said to Jordan, "We're so stupid. We should never reproduce." LOL! I love them.

Dancing with the Stars...I'm excited for this season. I think I will like it this year. Last season I was disappointed because I didn't like a lot of the contestants. I'm looking forward to seeing Kate dance, Jake, Nicole and the hot Olympian! It will be interesting to see Shannen Doherty and how she acts. She's known as kind of a bi*ch.

One Tree Hill...Only 4 more episodes left...can't believe it's coming to an end. I'm sad, but not too sad because this season hasn't been as appealing to me. I still love the show, but they've run out of ideas. They better end it with Julian and Brooke happily together or I will be mad. Brooke deserves to be in an amazing relationship! And wtf?? Why are they not even acknowledging where Peyton and Lucas are??? So frustrating.

Private Practice...Oh how I LOVE this show. I can't believe it took me 3 seasons to watch it! I love everyone on it. I love every single episode. Taye Diggs is so hot. I really want Sam and Addison to be together...I think Addison needs to get over the whole Naomi situation and just follow her heart. Naomi sucks anyways. :)

Grey's Anatomy...LOVE this show, too. I'm just bracing myself for Meredith and Derek drama...I don't think I can handle it. I love Little Grey, I think she is awesome. I love McSteamy...I even love Arizona. She's a sweetheart. I want the chief to be back to normal! I think it's awesome that Bailey is gonna date the hot new guy! :)

American Idol
...so far I am not a fan of this season. I hope that over the next few weeks I find someone I really like. I'm not impressed with anyone like I have been in past seasons. I really like Andrew, I think he is a really talented musician and singer. He seems like an awesome dad, too. Didi is a cute girl and I like her voice. We will see...

The shows that have disappeared...Gossip Girl, 90210...why can't the writers come up with a script?!?! Gossip Girl is one of my favorite shows and it hasn't been on in months. I can't stand it. I'm tired of shows taking breaks all of the time. It's like the writer's strike all over again.

Anyway, can't wait until Thursday night! :)

Jaden and Kaylie, BFFs!!!

Another cute thing Jaden said...
Me: "Jaden, are we friends?"
Jaden: "No we're BFFs!"

This kid's memory is amazing, I've said that before, but it really is! If I ever need to be reminded of anything I just tell Jaden and he'll remember for me. For example I will tell him the night before that we need to go to the store and get apple juice or diapers. The next day when we go to the store I ask him what I needed and he reminds me, "diapers, apple juice, wipes and eggs." He can remember the whole list. His smart little brain amazes me everyday!

Jaden is officially potty trained. He is doing awesome. He was having a hard time going poop on the potty so I started the "poop chart." Each time he goes poop on the potty he gets to put a Cars sticker on his chart. Once he gets 4 stickers he gets a toy of his choice. This is all he has been talking about the past few days. He tells anyone that comes over about his poop chart and shows them his stickers. So far 2 down, 2 more to go. :)

The other night/morning at 3 am Jaden came into my room and said "mommy I made a messy all over my bed and pillow." I looked at him and he had throw up all over him. Poor little guy. He slept with me the rest of the morning and he threw up one more time (into the bowl thank goodness). The next day he was much better, but still a little weak and not his normal self. I hate seeing my kids sick, it makes me sad. He's doing better now and I hope he is all better tomorrow so we can go out and play!

Kaylie is saying new words daily. It's so much fun to hear her little voice speak. The cute look she gets on her face when she is telling me something and I am trying to understand and translate. I love it. She will just smile at me until I understand what she is saying and then say "yeah!" and be so excited.

Kaylie definitely knows what she wants. Ask her a question and you will get an answer right away, yes or no. She doesn't even have to think about it. Jaden takes awhile and will ponder and think about if he wants some apple sauce or not or whatever it is. Kaylie on the other hand will say it right away. This girl knows what she wants and you better give it to her. :)

Kaylie loves her big brother. It's so cute how she is always so concerned about him. I will give her something like a fruit snack or her sippy cup and she will say "Nay-din" (which means Jaden). She makes sure that Jaden always has the same thing she does and that he is never left out. She follows him around and likes to do everything he does. Most of the time they get along and have a lot of fun playing together. They are BFF's, too :)
