Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for my kids and how 80% of the time they are good kids. :) Today I had to take them to the doctor with me and they did so well. They just sat there on the chairs and waited patiently while the doctor checked me. I was so proud of them. My doctor kept saying how awesome they were and how well-behaved. After we left I bought them Sonic french fries for being so good. :)

I am thankful for music and how happy it makes my kids and I. Jaden and Kaylie LOVE to listen to my music and dance. Jaden always asks me for the "higher" song. It's called You Light My Fire by Snoop Dogg and Mr. Capon-e, it's on my playlist. They absolutely love it. Jaden sings it a lot throughout the day. Also the Taylor Swift song, You Belong with Me. They are awesome :)

I am thankful for AJ and his efforts to be an awesome dad and help out as much as he can. He does a great job!

I am thankful for my brother Ryan and that my kids have him around to play with. He is such a great uncle. He loves Jaden and Kaylie so much and they love him. I am also thankful that he is always happy to babysit and help me out.

I am thankful for our new home. It's so nice to be in a new, clean, gorgeous, safe place.

I am thankful for my dishwasher. Even though it needs to be fixed (the guy is coming tomorrow), I LOVE not having to hand wash dishes anymore.

I am thankful that Jeff won the Coup de tat on Big Brother tonight! yay! I love JEFF :)

Monday, monday, monday

This past week has been crazy busy! We are finally all moved into our new place and I love it! Jaden and Kaylie seem to like it a lot now. Jaden had a hard time adjusting to it at first. His crib broke during the move so I had to use the pack 'n play for Kaylie's bed, and I put Jaden in her crib. We also didn't have cable for a few days so Jaden wasn't able to watch his shows. There were just a lot of changes for him and he was having a hard time. The second morning we were here in our new house he said "mommy I want go home" - it about broke my heart! He is doing a lot better now, although we are all sick with colds. And thanks to a new friend I made, Jaden got a new crib! Saved my life! We are only a few yards away from a park which he loves. The kids have so much fun playing on it every morning.

So we moved in to our new place last Monday, of course the night of the Bachelorette finale! I didn't have my cable set up, no internet either. I wasn't able to watch the finale and I actually still haven't watched it. I'm really bummed I missed it. My mom called me with the "play by play" every half hour or so. I was really bummed that she picked Ed. I think he is sooo boring. But I'm glad she is happy. I'm really excited for the next Bachelor. I actually read online today that the producers are thinking of having Mike on from this season of the Bachelorette and his twin brother! I think that would be cool. The twin Bachelors! :) Mike is awesome, I really liked him. He's hot, too!

This morning the kids and I took a nap around 9:45 and we woke up to my kitchen flooded! We woke up just in the nick of time because the water was inches away from hitting the carpet! Jaden and Kaylie had a blast jumping around and falling down all over the floor while I stressed out and said some cuss words as I tried to clean it all up. I used all 10 or 15 of my towels to get it cleaned up. The stupid dishwasher had leaked out all over the floor. I'm not exaggerating, it was covered about an inch or two high of water covering the whole entire floor. Of all things I was most excited about moving into this place, a dishwasher! No more washing my dishes by hand every night. Anyway, my landlord came over and hopefully fixed the problem, but we will see.

Tonight the whole family got together at Rock Creek Pizza for my dad's birthday dinner. It was fun to see everyone and of course eat good food.

Yesterday my brother Ryan, Jaden, Kaylie and I were laying on the floor reading books. Jaden was pointing out all the different things he knew and just for fun I pointed to a circle and asked what shape it was. I have never taught him shapes yet so I didn't think he would know, but sure enough he did! He said circle, then pointed to a square and said square and then pointed to a triangle and said triangle. I was floored! I was ecstatic, clapping my hands, high fives all around, it was awesome. I was such a proud mommy. I'm tellin ya it is all the tv shows that he watches. I don't care what people say that kids shouldn't watch tv when they are this little. My son is a freakin smarty pants because of it. All the shows like Dora, Diego, Super Why, Little Einsteins, they all teach him so much stuff. It's awesome!

Tomorrow is my big moving day! I really should be sleeping right now, but I am too wound up and excited. I can't wait to be all settled in our new place. I will take pictures asap. :)

Tomorrow is also a big day because The Bachelorette finale is on!!! woohoo :) I'm such a nerd, but I love it and I don't care. I am very interested to see who she picks. This is the first season where I really have no clue what guy she will pick. Reid is coming back, so she will have 3 to choose from. I still like Kiptyn the best. Ed is boring!

I ♥ Big Brother. I think that show is so dang good. That's all I have to say now :)

After quite a few tests and a miserable 3 weeks my doctor has decided I have to get a colonoscopy done on Tuesday morning. This is something I am not looking forward to and am very nervous about it. I'm mostly dreading the day before the procedure. I will spare you the details, but I'm sure most of you know the stuff I will have to deal with.

Jaden is getting his last 2 year molar in. I took him to the doctor this morning because he has been very ornery the past couple of days. I was pretty sure it was another ear infection, but it was just his teeth. owch!

Kaylie is getting sweeter and sweeter everyday. I think she is growing out of her "high maintenance" stage, but I'm sure it will come back, if not soon it will come back in her teenage years. :) She is such a sweet, good little girl. She loves little babies, probably because they don't pick on her like her brother and his friends. She will go right up to any baby and give them a hug or get down to their level and talk to them. She is also becoming more and more social. Every time we've been at the pool she will go up and just sit down by someone and start smiling at them or babbling.

I felt like the worse mom ever today because I had to take the kids to Draper to meet my sister grocery shopping. I felt bad because it was 101 degrees outside which means it was probably 110 in my car! My air conditioning is broken, boy is it miserable! The kids got so ornery on the way back home, I felt soooo bad. Anyone want to give me their car with air conditioning? Thank you, come again. :)

I am getting pretty stressed out now because I am supposed to be moving in one week and I still have lots of packing to do. I also have my colonoscopy on Tuesday so that will take away packing time. I also can't afford to get a Uhaul so I need trucks and not sure if I will find someone willing to help with their truck. We will see! I can't wait for us to be in our nice, new place.

I am so glad that Big Brother is on now. I love that show! So much drama already and it's only week 2! Someday I would love to be on that show. I think it would be so fun.

Jaden is starting to learn the words and recognize some songs that come on the radio. He loves to sing Taylor Swift's song, You Belong With Me. Him and Kaylie love that song. Also, there is a song called Bust it Baby and he starts singing "baaabbbbbyyyy" right when it comes on. I love to watch them dance and get excited over certain songs.

It's been really hard for me to get used to being back at work. Even though I'm only away from my babies 5 hours a day, it is hard. I miss them a lot. It's also been hard with my health issues and being so tired. I'm very thankful for my friends that are watching my kids. They are the best and my kids have so much fun with their kids.
