Fill in the blank Friday

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. The best piece of advice I was ever given was my mom telling me that I'm never stuck anywhere. I can live wherever I want to and do what I want to do, anything is possible.

2. If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to a single mom or battered women charity for moms and kids.

3. If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be dinner at Five All's mmmmmmm!!!

4. My hair is really blah and dry right now. It needs to be colored asap!

5. If at first you don't succeed keep on keepin' on!!!

6. I have always been very excited about the little things.

7. Oh....and by the way.... no more Vegas this weekend. Looks like we are going to Idaho!!! LOL!!!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful that instead of my car costing $2000+ to get fixed, it's only going to be $200! Good thing I took it to another mechanic. :)

I'm thankful that Lee won American Idol. He is an awesome guy with an awesome voice. I'm excited to hear his new single Beautiful Day on the radio.

I'm thankful for webcam and being able to talk to and see Jaden and Kaylie while they are at daddy's.

I'm thankful for my new job at Mozy. The company is sooo awesome, amazing people, great pay, great environment, AND free food in the break rooms everyday. It really is the best company I have ever worked for. I'm excited about the opportunity.

I'm thankful for my mom and all the support she gives me. She has helped me sooo much and I can't tell her enough how grateful I am for her!

I'm thankful for Jamie and how amazing he is to me. I'm thankful for the hugs he gives me constantly, especially over the past few weeks since they have been so hard and stressful.

I'm thankful that I discovered I actually like green tea! Green Tea with Citrus fruit is the best and soo healthy!

Mozy!

I am so excited because starting this Monday I will be a full-time worker again! I got a job at Mozy. I will be a Level one tech-support agent. I will be making good money and it is literally right by my house. Which is convenient now that my car is out of commission, I can walk to work!
Tomorrow I am taking the kids to see their daddy. They will be staying with him for 3 whole weeks! I'm excited for them! Jaden is sooo excited. He keeps telling everyone that he's going to California to see his daddy. It will be a long time away from the kids, but I will have my new job to keep me busy. I will miss them a lot, but am also looking forward to some "me" time!
Life is looking up and I hope it keeps on looking up for us! :)

Catch up time!

One of my favorite things is when I put the kids to bed, they both love to wave to me as I leave the room and they like me to wave. Jaden started doing this and then Kaylie caught on so now they both like it. Jaden and I say goodnight to Kaylie first and we wave as we leave the room and then Jaden and I wave to each other. We've done it every night for months now and I love it. Especially Kaylie's little hand waving to me as she is about to fall asleep.

Jaden is officially done with binkies!!! yay! It ended a couple weeks ago and I am so proud of him for "quitting" ha! I'm proud of myself for staying strong and not giving it right back to him when he wanted it so bad.

Jaden loves meeting new people and making new friends. Anytime he meets someone knew or sees someone outside at the park he calls them their new friend. Well lately he's been calling Kaylie his best friend. This morning we were laying in my bed and he asked, "Mommy, where's my best friend Kaylie?" I thought it was sooo cute.

I took the kids to the doctor this past week because of snotty noses and coughs. Jaden has an obnoxious cough that keeps him up at night and during naps. Turns out the doctor says he has asthma. So he's been using an inhaler a few times a day and that is helping a ton. I hope it goes away and doesn't affect his whole life (ahem) football career....ha!

I have the worst luck with cars...I think most of us know this by now. My car has some major issues and is overheating and leaking all sorts of stuff. Well last week (on Jamie's birthday before the basketball game) my sister, the kids and I were driving home and pulled off the freeway and my car stopped. Seconds after this happened and I turned on the hazard lights a man drove up and asked if he could help us. This guy turned out to be a guardian angel! He pushed my car off to the side of the road, then attached my big Durango to his tiny little beat up work truck and towed us into the In 'n Out parking lot. Then said he had a hitch and a trailer thing that he could go get and tow my car home to my house. Talk about a miracle! He was soooo nice. He kept saying how he has a wife and a daughter and would only hope that a nice guy would help them out if they ever broke down somewhere and he couldn't help. He was just an awesome guy and I am so grateful that there are people out there that still help complete strangers.

Early Tuesday morning about 3 am I woke up with a really bad stomach ache. I instantly knew it was the Wendy's chicken salad I had eaten right before the basketball game Monday night. I threw up quite a few times and was so weak after that I could barely walk. I tried to make it to my bed, but I ended up falling down, hitting the wall with my shoulder and head and passing out. I thought for sure I had a concussion. Then I threw up a few more times and felt even worse and my head was killing me. I was scared and wasn't sure what to do. I called Jamie and he told me to call 911 and have someone check me to make sure I didn't have a concussion. I called and a few minutes later 7 firemen and emt's were in my living room. I think it's so funny that in Utah when anything little happens, 10 cop cars, 5 fire trucks, or ambulance need to show up for something so little. Anyway, they checked me out and I was "okay" and didn't seem to have a concussion. That morning Jaden woke up about 7:30 and I felt horrible. I seriously could not get out of bed. It was so hard for me to even get up to get them breakfast and pour them a drink. My amazing sister Megan came over and saved the day. She watched the kids allll day long while I laid in bed and tried to get better. Thank you soo much for watching them Megs! I hate food poisoning! And I now hate Wendy's! :)

Tonight Jamie and I and the kids went down to Andrea and Mike's for a bbq and get together, with Corinn and Eric and all the kids. It was so much fun to chat and eat yummy food. Jamie grilled me some yummy hamburgers. I'm so thankful to have such great friends and neighbors.

I had such a great weekend with the kids and with Jamie. It's nice to have his company and we have so much fun together. I've really been missing my mom lately...I rrrrreally wish that she could live here! Hopefully someday soon.

Wow, this has been a long blog...just had to jot it all down so I don't forget. :)

GO LAKERS!!!

Monday night Jamie and I went to game 4 of the Jazz vs. Lakers basketball game. It was also Jamie's birthday so we had fun celebrating. It was such a fun game! The Lakers definitely worked the Jazz and swept the series! I am so happy that I finally got to see Kobe Bryant play in real life. He is just an awesome player.
Maybe we will get to go see the Lakers play the Suns in Phoenix!!! :)

Jaden's latest....

Funny, cute, smart things Jaden has said...

"Mommy, I want to go to the Eiffel Tower."

I asked him if he would bring me a diaper for Kaylie and he replies, "Mommy, you have legs,  you get it."

"Mommy my clock is having some trouble." I bought him a new clock for his room to help him stay in his room in the morning. We will see how that works!

"I need something in my mouth for night time." Tonight I took his binkies away for good this time. They are going to the "binky fairy".

"Mommy that is Texas Roadhouse. I went there with daddy and we got you rolls and cheesecake. And daddy paid for them with his blue card." This is what he said when we drove by a Texas Roadhouse the other day. I couldn't believe it, this kid is so freakin smart! We went to Texas Roadhouse back in California months and months ago.

"But the sun is awake now so it's wake up time." He says this when its 6:30 a.m...shoot me.

Jaden heard me talking to Jamie about Daddy and how he doesn't live here and I asked Jaden if he knew where Daddy lives and he said, "He's in California!"

Whenever we play at the park and there are new kids he doesn't know he will call them all "Friend" and go up to them and talk to them or yell "Friend" which he thinks is their name. :)

Vegas baby!!!!

This past weekend I got to go with my boyfriend Jamie to Vegas! My sister watched the kids all weekend with some help of my awesome friends and so just the two of us were able to go. We stayed at his dad and girlfriend's house right outside the city. It was seriously the best weekend of my life. I was so happy and relaxed the whole time and felt so carefree. It was a much needed vacation. My first away from the kids in 2 years. Jamie and I had so much fun together. We left Friday morning and I drove us there because Jamie worked the graveyard shift the previous night and needed to catch up on some sleep. I got us there pretty fast. :) He was amazed when he woke up when we were almost to St. George he couldn't believe how fast I had gone. We got to his dad's house about 2:30 pm that day and hung out with his dad and girlfriend for awhile. We went to the casino and watched his dad lose some money (he won $250 later on that night). We rode around in his dad's super nice car and got something to eat. Then when we got back to the house I was sooo tired so I laid down for an hour or so and then we watched the Lakers game. Go Lakers! Annie (his dad's girlfriend) and I escaped into another room for a little bit and drank and chatted, had some girl time. It was really fun getting to know her. She is a really nice lady and told some really good stories. After the game, off we went for a night on the town! We went to Pure nightclub in Caesar's Palace. I had been there before, but it was Jamie's first time and we had so much fun. The music was awesome, there were tons of people and we had so much fun dancing together. We stayed out until about 2 and then headed home. The next morning we woke up at 7! We couldn't believe that we woke up so early we both looked at each other like what the heck are we doing waking up so early?! We tried to fall back asleep and ended up sleeping til only 9:30. Jamie and I went to breakfast that morning and then just hung out at his dad's for the day and visited and relaxed. I also took a 2 hour nap :) Then we got dressed up all nice on Saturday night to go out again. We went and saw the Cirque du Soleil show Zumanity and it was soo awesome. I am so glad we got to go to a show. Then we headed over to the Palms. My good friend Tara hooked us up with VIP into all 3 clubs at the Palms; Moon, Playboy Club and Rain. I couldn't believe how awesome all 3 of the clubs were. I felt like I was a celebrity. They were sooo nice! Jamie made me feel soo good, too because I wore a red dress (his favorite color) and all night he was saying how good I looked. We went to all 3 of the clubs and had such a blast! We stayed out until about 3 or 4 am! We got home that morning and we were so hungry so we ate some food and then went to bed and woke up at 9...lol. For some reason we just couldn't sleep in! We relaxed at the house all day Sunday and watched basketball and visited with Annie and his dad. We left to drive home around 4:30 and the drive home was sooo much fun. We were being so silly and making jokes and listening to 80's music (he LOVES 80's music lol) and telling stories and just having good conversation. It was so great being with him all weekend, one on one and not having to hurry and rush home to the kids or the stress of finding a babysitter. It was just him and I and nothing else mattered. He spoiled me like crazy all weekend and just made sure I had the best time. I am so unbelievably happy that I have such an amazing man in my life and the kids' lives. He is a keeper and I love him to pieces! Can't wait for many more Vegas trips with him!
